Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Atria is committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the workplace and the world. Diversity incorporates distinguishable talent, offers unique perspectives in solving problems, fosters a safer and more welcoming environment, and yields a better product or service to the customer.
Workforce
We work to ensure a safe workplace for women, underrepresented racial and ethnic groups, the LGBTQIA+ community, military members, and people with disabilities. A safe workplace gives workers a sense of belonging and establishes trust between one another. The workforce should reflect the diversity of the world, so we selectively recruit those strongly committed to the ideals of DEI.
Workers often find themselves in a team, deliberating and solving problems among others with similar interests. We always encourage team members to acknowledge and understand different perspectives.
Underrepresented groups
Unconscious bias is a social stereotype about a group of people. An individual forms an unconscious bias as an attempt to categorize the social world based on a plethora of factors such as race, sex, age, weight, appearance, and disability.
Representation in teams and leadership roles is imperative for developing strong relations with coworkers. We are committed to combating unconscious bias and systemic racism by expanding opportunities for underrepresented groups to be a part of a team and to undertake leadership roles. We are also committed to offering equal opportunities for the recruitment of people of all socioeconomic backgrounds.
We are constantly evaluating and addressing potential systemic barriers and biases against underrepresented groups.
Women
Increasing the recruitment and retention of women is indispensable for cultivating a prosperous working environment. We aim to provide inclusive spaces for women in the workplace. It is integral to the training process to educate workers on the biases against women and on our methods of opposing these biases. We strive to create a space for women to feel comfortable and for them to understand their voices are being heard. We also intend to expand resources for workers identifying as mothers of lower socioeconomic status.
Sexual orientation
Atria is an ally of the LGBTQIA+ community. Our goal is to consistently expand representation of the LGBTQIA+ community among teams and leadership roles. We continue to recognize and celebrate holidays and other moments dedicated to spreading awareness and honoring remembrance of the historical achievements the LGBTQIA+ community has made.
Gender identity and expression
We believe gender is not binary and support all gender identities and expressions. We are always implementing effective methods to protect the individual’s right to express their gender identity and to assure their comfort in all workspaces. We plan to
Military members
We are committed to recruiting military members and their spouses, especially those new to working in the private sector. We look forward to integrating ideals based on their unique skills and perspectives. Their unique skills and perspectives have the potential to improve the performance and social structure of the workplace. We plan to create an inclusive space for military members and their spouses by
Disability
Globally, about 1.3 billion people live with disabilities, and very few companies make initiatives to provide accessibility and inclusivity for them. We work against barriers people with disabilities face by
Advancing DEI
Diverse perspectives are integral to the performance of Atria. We want workers to have a sense of belonging and to feel they have an equal opportunity with others to advance in their roles. We are constantly evolving our perception of DEI as we continue to learn about the best methods to integrate these ideals into the workplace.
